Self-Liberation Shines In "Wildlands."

Why do we love things that trap us? That bad relationship we just can't bear to let go of isn't going to magically improve - why do we tell ourselves it will? The lowkey substance abuse we've been flirting with won't disappear into thin air either. Our phone addictions, shopping compulsions, and gravitation towards toxic friendships aren't going to magically resolve themselves.
You can't skip the first step of self-liberation: get real. Start being honest with yourself about the choices you're making. As long as you keep telling yourself little white lies and making excuses for what's bringing you down, you will not be fixing your life. Full stop.
"Wildlands" is about getting deep into nature alone to find clarity. There is something transformational about sitting on a rock or a log in a forest near a body of water; problems that seem dense and complex become simple and clear. Anxiety dissipates, and a sense of ease sets in. If nature isn't accessible for you, clarity can be found in any quiet space - a peaceful room, a library, or sitting in your car alone.
Getting clarity is the first step. Some people stop there, some backslide, deciding change is too intense, too scary. It takes a ton of courage to take the second step: choosing to change.
